Finger Painting

Now that Harriet is getting older, I've been trying more things with the girls together. Here's Harriet's first attempt at finger painting.

 

 

Harriet didn't last very long. She kept trying to eat it and didn't like the taste very much.

Dot Markers

Whenever Harriet naps on the weekends, I try to do something fun with just Estelle. This day we were using her Dot Markers. For awhile she just wanted to line them up and say the different colors.

 

And here she is saying "Tah-Dah"

 

Toothbrush

Harriet has her two front bottom teeth and is working on getting in one of her top front teeth right now. Which means she's been putting everything she can get her hands on in her mouth. Here she is trying out her toothbrush. I couldn't choose my favorite, so I included them all.

Easter

We spent Easter morning with Keith's side of the family here in St Louis. My mom had purchased matching dresses for the girls, so I tried to get pictures of both of them together. At first Estelle would not sit down with Harriet, so we just took some pictures of Harriet. In front of the fireplace we realized too late that you could see our reflection. And even though we were trying very hard to get Harriet to smile, we failed.

10 Month Photos

It's hard for me to believe my little Harriet is already 10 months old. She's getting more and more of her own personality, which is fun to see. She is a happy baby most of the time and she has started sleeping through the night!! 

 

 

Here she is standing in the middle of the room all by herself. We think she will definitely be walking by the time she turns 1-year old.

Estelle Sticker Hands

Like any child, Estelle loves stickers. Probably unlike many other children, Estelle loves to have one sticker placed on each of her fingers and then likes to walk around with them.

 

Crib Rail

Harriet has her two bottom teeth and we are expecting the arrival of more teeth any day now. She's started to chew on her crib rail, especially when we put her down for a nap or when she wakes up. So I made a crib rail bumper for her. Here she is checking it out.

Pillow Fort

Keith was out of town at the end of March for Spring Break with the lacrosse team. Of course that's when Harriet decided to pick up a virus and spike a 101' F fever x3-4 days. So a couple of nights she got to sleep with me in bed. And she even had an overnight with G&G! One morning, I constructed a pillow fort so she could keep sleeping and I could get ready for the day.

 



9 Month Photos

I realized that Harriet is now 10 months old and I forgot to post her 9 month photos, so here they are. We had her 9 month check up and everything looks great. She's 60th percentile for height ad weight. She's been eating more solid foods and she's starting to stand on her own. Now we just need to get her to sleep through the night again....

 

 

 

 

Rice Bin

I made this rice bin for Estelle before Harriet was born and I usually only bring it out when Harriet is napping. Harriet is getting so much bigger I thought she might like to play in it too. At first she tried to eat the rice and after realizing she did not like that, she just sat and watched Estelle play. It's fun to see these girls start to play and interact more and more.

 

Tunnel

I got this great tunnel at a garage sale for $2 almost two years ago. Again, it usually comes out on the weekends, or when I need an instant distraction for the girls. Here's Harriet making her way through.
