Pigtails

Estelle's hair is getting longer (but only in the back). I put her hair up in pigtails and thought it looked so cute. They only lasted a few minutes before she pulled them out, but I was able to snap a quick picture before she did.

Bed Head

Estelle sleeps hard when she naps. When we get her up she is usually a little sweaty and her hair has taken on a life of its own. Here are some pictures of her typical hair style after getting up from a nap.

Double Stroller

When deciding which double stroller to purchase for my girls, I spent a significant amount of time trying to find the perfect one. What I found is the perfect double stroller does not exist. But I did fall love with the Kinderwagon double stroller as it meets almost all of my needs. And I think I chose wisely. Here are the girls all loaded up for one of our first walks to test out the new stroller.

And here's Estelle giving kisses to Harriet's feet. So cute.

Face Painting

Recently our finger painting sessions have turned into a face painting experience. Estelle has started putting everything on her face including anything she may eat at mealtimes. Here she is applying her paint.

And here she is working on her twirling skills

Stacking

Estelle has recently become very good at stacking blocks and other objects. Here is her creation after breakfast one morning.

Coloring

I've tried coloring with Estelle on multiple occasions. At first she was more interested in trying to eat the crayons than color with them.  The next progression was pounding the crayons on the table. And finally the last few times she has actually started to color. We actually spent 10-15 minutes coloring this day. It's been fun to watch her learn and progress with her skills.

Sisters

Estelle has really taken to being a big sister. She loves to hold Harriet and is always bringing her pacifiers, burp clothes and other random toys. She is still sometimes overexcited and accidentally crushes Harriet with her hugs and kisses or by crawling on top of her, but overall it is getting better by the day.

Here are some pics of the first time Estelle held her.

And now some of them now that Estelle is a seasoned pro and is able to hold her without help from me or Keith.

Here are the girls on the floor together. You'll notice the orange bear on Harriet's tummy - a gift from Estelle.

And here's Estelle giving more hugs and kisses. It's very sweet to watch them together.

One Month

Harriet turned 1 month last week. It's amazing how fast that milestone snuck up on me. She has been an amazing addition to our family and I'm excited  to continue to watch her grow. Here are some pictures of her awake.

And then passed our from working so hard on her tummy time.

Outside

With two little ones at home, I'm limited with where I'll go by myself right now. Luckily we have a wonderful backyard and Estelle loves to play outside. We have a small tent we got before Estelle was born and I think I've already used it more for Harriet then I ever did for Estelle. The first time we all went outside, Estelle just walked laps around Harriet in the tent trying to figure out how to get to her inside.  Then when I took Harriet out, Estelle jumped right in and claimed it for herself.

The Pump

Since Harriet was born, I've been pumping to get her my breast milk.  I set up a little station for my pump in my bedroom to keep it away from Estelle and to have privacy. When she did finally discover it, she tried to use it like a telephone. I thought it was pretty funny.
