Boots

Keith and I celebrated the New Year by rearranging our bedroom and the living room. During the process, I had to take all of my boots out from underneath the bed, when I normally store them. One afternoon Estelle opened the box and decided to put them on. She got them on most of the way by herself and was able to walk in them surprisingly well.

 

Puffs

Harriet's feeding experiences continue with the addition of puffs. This little lady really likes to feed herself.

 

Pack-n-play

We still have our Pack-n-play out in the living room as Harriet is not yet sleeping through the night and we don't want her to wake Estelle up during the middle of the night. Harriet has started sitting up on her own, which meant it was time to lower the Pack-n-play. Estelle thought she should try it out first to make sure it was safe for Harriet.

 

 

 

7 Months

Harriet is already 7 months old. She can now sit up on her own and is thinking really hard about crawling. She's started on solid food and loves to feed herself. She's had her first ear infection and is still stubborn about sleeping through the night. But she has the best laugh and smile.  

 

 

 

And here's my moving target. It's only a matter of time before she's up and crawling.

 

Peas For Harriet

We have started Harriet on solid foods. The first couple of trials we gave her some rice cereal and then we finally added some peas for color and flavor. After multiple attempts with the spoon (which failed miserably) I started to spoon clumps of food onto the tray. It was much more successful as Harriet prefers to feed herself.
